These terms govern your use of kenneyjacob.com (including its subpages and subdomains) and the Kenney Jacob WhatsApp assistant — the automated WhatsApp chat service used for the book pre-order campaign (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Kenney Jacob, Kochi, Kerala, India. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. The Service
- The website provides information about Kenney Jacob's work, books, talks, and projects, and forms for contacting him or signing up for book pre-orders.
- The WhatsApp assistant is an automated service: replies in the chat are generated by an AI system, not typed by a person, unless the conversation is explicitly handed over to a human. By messaging the business number you consent to interacting with an automated system.
- Messaging the WhatsApp number is also subject to WhatsApp's own Terms of Service.
2. Pre-orders and messages
- Signing up for a book pre-order may initiate a WhatsApp conversation with you about that pre-order. You can stop these messages at any time by replying STOP (or saying so in any language) in the chat.
- A pre-order signup expresses interest; it is not a payment. Payment, delivery, and cancellation matters are handled by a real person, not by the automated assistant.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt or overload it, probing or bypassing its security, sending unlawful, abusive, or infringing content through it, using it to spam others, or attempting to extract other people's data from it.
4. AI-generated content
Replies from the WhatsApp assistant are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for the pre-order conversation only and are not professional advice of any kind. Facts that matter — price, payment, delivery — are only binding when confirmed by a real person.
5. Intellectual property
The content of the website — text, design, images, and book material — belongs to Kenney Jacob or its respective rights holders. You may not reproduce it commercially without permission.
6. Privacy
How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. You can request deletion of your data as described on the data deletion page.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Availability is not guaranteed — the Service may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kenney Jacob is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always published at this address. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India.
